The tour includes your vehicle and chauffeur, CBD hotel pickup and return, transport between agreed stops and chauffeur waiting within the eight-hour hire. Wine tastings, meals, drinks, attraction tickets and purchases are not included. Any different pickup area, extra stop or extension beyond eight hours must be discussed and priced before you agree to it.
Your date, exact pickup, vehicle suitability and itinerary are confirmed before booking. The images show vehicle categories and vineyard settings; they do not reserve a particular vehicle or venue.

A realistic 9am–5pm Yarra Valley itinerary
This sample follows a compact route through Yering and Coldstream: two cellar-door visits, a proper lunch and time to return to Melbourne. It avoids adding a distant attraction or an extra winery simply to fill the day.

Meet your chauffeur at the agreed hotel entrance. Settle in and travel towards the Yarra Valley. Share your full pickup address beforehand so the route and meeting point can be planned.

First cellar door: Yering Station
Begin with a booked tasting or cellar-door visit at Yering Station, subject to availability. Allow time to enjoy the wines and surroundings rather than racing through a long list of estates.
11:35am–12:25pm
Sparkling-wine stop: CHANDON
Continue to CHANDON for your reserved tasting or lounge experience. The venue opens later than the first stop, so it sits naturally in the late-morning schedule. Your selected experience and its cost are confirmed with the venue.
12:45–2:15pm
Reserved lunch at Quarters, Hubert Estate
Enjoy a relaxed lunch in Coldstream. A 90-minute allowance gives your group time to order and dine. Meals and drinks are paid separately; larger groups and dietary needs should be arranged ahead.
2:15–2:45pm
A little room to enjoy the setting
Allow time for a short walk, photographs, the estate shop or an unhurried finish to lunch. This is breathing space within the day, not a promise of an additional tasting or paid attraction.
2:45–5:00pm
Return drive to Melbourne CBD
Depart the valley with a generous return allowance and a planned hotel drop-off by 5pm. The actual arrival depends on traffic and your pickup address; the eight-hour window includes both outward and return travel.
Venue note: CHANDON currently lists a closure on 20 November 2026, as well as 25–26 December. A different available cellar door would be discussed for affected dates. Check CHANDON visiting information, Yering Station reservations and Quarters dining bookings before settling on the stops.
A private wine tour for two — or your whole group
Couples and solo travellers: reserve the vehicle for yourselves, with time for your preferred wines and lunch plans. A private day for two is different from buying two seats on a shared bus.
Friends and family: agree on the style of day before choosing venues. One organiser can coordinate your tasting reservations, meal preferences and pickup details so everyone knows what is included.
Corporate outings: the eight-hour format gives a small team a defined pickup and return window. Share any business dining requirements or accessibility needs before confirming the plan.
Choose the wines, then plan the route
Start with the type of visit you want: sparkling wine, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, a smaller cellar door or a lunch with vineyard views. Keep the final stops close enough together to enjoy them within the reserved time.
You can suggest different wineries instead of the sample route. Send the venue names and any appointment times so we can assess the driving and waiting required. A distillery, Chocolaterie or other attraction may replace a stop or require a separately agreed extension; it is not automatically added to the eight-hour price.
Make sure tasting and restaurant reservations are accepted for your full group before paying venue deposits. We confirm the transport plan with you; venue charges, booking rules and cancellation terms remain separate unless your written booking says otherwise.

The right vehicle for your winery day
Your passenger total is the starting point. Child seats, a pram, suitcases, mobility equipment and planned wine purchases can change the space you need. Include these details before booking so we can confirm a suitable arrangement.
The 1–3 guest option is a European sedan or SUV; it does not promise a specific make or model. The 4–7 guest option is a Mercedes V-Class. The 8–10 guest option is a Mercedes Sprinter or similar. Value options are also available in a Kia Carnival for up to 6 guests or a Toyota Hiace for up to 9. All are subject to date availability and your group’s requirements.

How much is a private Yarra Valley wine tour?
For the agreed eight-hour Melbourne CBD tour, the total vehicle price is A$960 for 1–3 guests in a European sedan or SUV, A$1,200 for 4–7 in a Mercedes V-Class, or A$1,520 for 8–10 in a Mercedes Sprinter or similar. Tastings, lunch, drinks and purchases are separate. Value options are A$1,040 for up to 6 guests in a Kia Carnival and A$1,200 for up to 9 guests in a Toyota Hiace.
Are these prices per person or per vehicle?
Per private vehicle for your whole group. For example, the A$1,200 V-Class price covers a group of 4–7 guests for eight hours; it is not A$1,200 per person. Children are included in the passenger count.
Are wine tastings and lunch included?
No. The published prices cover private chauffeur transport. Pay for your selected tastings, meals, drinks and other venue experiences separately unless an inclusion is expressly listed in your written booking.
Can we choose our own wineries?
Yes. Send your preferred wineries and any reserved times. We check whether the route fits the eight-hour hire. The number of stops depends on tasting duration, lunch plans and travel between venues; a shorter, well-timed route is often more enjoyable than a crowded schedule.
Do you pick up from Melbourne CBD hotels?
Yes. The sample tour begins at your agreed Melbourne CBD hotel address at 9am and plans to return by 5pm. Provide the hotel name and full address. Other suburbs or multiple pickups need a separate route and price check.
Is a 5pm return guaranteed?
It is the planned return for this sample itinerary, not a guarantee against traffic or other delays. We build in a return allowance and confirm the route before booking. Tell us about an onward flight, show or other fixed appointment so an appropriate buffer can be discussed.
Who books the wineries and restaurant?
Tell us which reservations you already hold. Venue bookings must be confirmed separately with the venue unless VHA has expressly agreed in writing to coordinate them. Do not assume an enquiry form or chauffeur booking automatically secures tasting or restaurant availability.
Can children and non-drinkers join?
Yes, the transport can be planned for a mixed group. Tell us children’s ages and child-seat needs, and check each venue’s admission and group policies. Non-drinkers can plan dining or scenery around the same route; individual venues decide their charges and available activities.
What happens if we need extra time or different stops?
Discuss changes before booking or with your chauffeur before extending the day. Extra time, distant venues, additional pickup addresses or a changed return destination may require a separate agreed charge and depend on availability. The published price covers eight hours, including travel and agreed waiting.
When is the booking confirmed?
Send your date, group size and pickup details first. We check availability and confirm the vehicle, itinerary, total and booking conditions in writing. Follow the payment or acceptance instructions provided. Sending an enquiry does not by itself reserve the vehicle or the venues.
Tour cancellation policy
For cancellations received at least 24 hours before your scheduled pickup, a cancellation fee of A$50 applies. Give notice as early as possible by calling 0430 579 957 or contacting VHA Limos with your booking details.
For less than 24 hours’ notice, ask us to confirm the applicable terms before booking. Tasting, restaurant and other venue reservations have their own cancellation conditions.
