Use the quote form to request your car and number of seats. In Itinerary and special requirements, add the information below so we can assess the journey without unnecessary follow-up.
- Each child’s age, approximate height and current restraint type.
- The number of adults and children travelling.
- Suitcases, cabin bags and any pram or stroller, including its folded size.
- Your flight number and arrival terminal for an airport pickup.
- Return-trip details, planned stops and any timing requirements.
Book ahead: metropolitan bookings must be confirmed at least 3 hours before pickup; allow 6–7 hours for regional bookings. Earlier notice gives more time to arrange the requested vehicle and seats.
Sending a quote request does not confirm a booking. Check the fare, vehicle, seat requirements and pickup arrangements in your confirmation before travel. If your plans change, contact us so the arrangements can be reviewed.

Baby seat pricing and the Mercedes V-Class offer
A$15 per seat
The standard baby-seat charge is A$15 for each requested seat. For example, two seats add A$30 to the journey fare where the V-Class offer does not apply.
First seat free in a V-Class
With a Mercedes V-Class booking, the first baby seat is free. Additional baby seats cost A$15 each. Two seats therefore add A$15 under this offer.
Your complete quote
These examples cover the seat supplement only, not the vehicle fare. Confirm charges for each journey, including any return transfer, before accepting your booking.
The free-first-seat offer applies specifically to Mercedes V-Class bookings. It does not apply automatically to every van, SUV or sedan. If you need more than one restraint, we will need to confirm a suitable seating arrangement and availability.
Which child seat should you request?
Tell us what your child currently uses rather than choosing a seat from age alone. Rear-facing seats, forward-facing seats with an inbuilt harness and booster seats suit different stages. The restraint must also be compatible with the allocated vehicle.
Rear-facing baby seats
Request a rear-facing restraint for a baby who needs one. Include age and approximate height, and flag the requirement at enquiry stage so availability can be checked before the vehicle is confirmed.
Forward-facing child seats
For a child using a forward-facing harnessed seat, include their details and current seat type. Do not assume that every child of the same age needs the same arrangement.
Booster seats
If your child uses a booster, request it when booking. Let us know how many boosters and other child restraints your family needs so they can be considered together.
Victorian child-restraint guidance
Victorian hire cars follow the same child-restraint rules as private cars. The restraint must suit the child’s age and size. Babies under six months need a rear-facing restraint; young children need an appropriate harnessed seat or booster. A child should not move to an adult belt until it fits properly.

Melbourne Airport transfers with baby seats
Arrange your Melbourne Airport transfer with the child seats, luggage space and pickup details considered together. For departures, provide your flight time and departure terminal so you can agree on a pickup time that allows for your airline’s check-in requirements.
For arrivals, provide the flight number, passenger details and a contact number you can use after landing. Early-morning and late-night journeys should be pre-booked and confirmed. If you expect extra time for immigration, baggage or travelling with young children, discuss the terminal-entry time before your trip.
Meet & Greet and waiting charges
Airport Meet & Greet costs A$15. For international arrivals, your chauffeur enters the terminal 25 minutes after the flight lands. For domestic arrivals, entry is when the flight lands. A different terminal-entry time applies if it is confirmed in your itinerary.
The first 60 minutes of airport waiting are free, starting when your chauffeur begins waiting inside the terminal at the confirmed entry time. Waiting beyond this is charged at A$3 per minute and added to your confirmed fare.

Mercedes V-Class and family vehicle planning
A Mercedes V-Class is an option for families who need to consider multiple passengers, child restraints and luggage together. It also includes the first baby seat free, with additional seats charged at A$15 each. Explore our fleet when considering a sedan, SUV or van for your journey.
Passenger capacity alone does not tell you whether everything will fit. Child seats use seating positions, while a folded pram and large suitcases take up luggage space. Give us your complete load when requesting a quote; the number and combination of seats must be checked for the proposed vehicle.
If you are bringing your own restraint, discuss this in advance so compatibility and installation arrangements can be confirmed. Please do not assume a specific seat brand, fitting system or vehicle configuration is available without confirmation.
Hotels, events and longer family journeys
Baby seat transfers are not limited to airport travel. Pre-book a chauffeur for Melbourne hotel transfers, a family celebration, a wedding or a sporting event such as the Australian Open. Include your destination, preferred pickup point and return plans so the journey can be arranged around your family’s schedule.
For a half-day, full-day or regional journey, discuss the route, stops, luggage and how long you need the vehicle. Allow 6–7 hours for regional booking confirmation. A return trip or extra stop should be included in your quote rather than assumed to be part of a one-way transfer.

Include the number and size of your bags and the folded dimensions of your pram. This helps us consider luggage space alongside seating. Tell us about bulky items before confirmation, not just at pickup.
Do you provide rear-facing seats and boosters?
Rear-facing, forward-facing and booster seat options can be requested. Tell us what your child currently uses and provide their age and approximate height. The suitable restraint and its availability need to be confirmed.
Can I arrange a return airport transfer?
Yes. Provide both journeys, flight details, passengers, luggage and child-seat requirements. Confirm the vehicle fare, seat charges and pickup arrangements for each leg in your itinerary.
How far ahead should I book?
Metropolitan bookings must be confirmed at least 3 hours before pickup; regional bookings require 6–7 hours. Enquire earlier where possible, especially when requesting several seats or a particular vehicle.
Is my transfer booked when I submit the form?
No. The form sends an enquiry. Your booking is confirmed only once the journey, fare, vehicle and seat arrangements have been agreed. Contact VHA Limos if you have not received confirmation or need to change your details.
